Here are some places I have been to recently that I liked.

MONTMARTRE

• Typical, with a back room where you can enjoy a drink and cold meats & cheese: La Cave des Abbesses
• Cosy & elegant for a drink in a beautiful house surrounded by a garden: L’Hôtel Particulier

BATIGNOLLES

• Ripaille : small restaurant with french bistronomic cuisine
• Gare aux Gorilles : another nice bistronomic restaurant.

MADELEINE

• Le Boissy d’Anglas is a good french traditional restaurant, cosy, with a good service. If you want to eat a good entrecôte, a tartare or a duck confit and a Tarte Tatin, it’s the place to go. Come early to have a quiet place if you fear the noise.

OPERA

• Good quality restaurant in the incredible premises of the publisher Calmann-Levy: Le Shack

CONCORDE

• Sometimes, my uncle invites me for a Bourgogne glass at the bar of Crillon Palace on Place de la Concorde. 30 € / glass ! Nice place 😉

BETWEEN GARE DU NORD & CANAL SAINT-MARTIN

• Fossette is a nice vegetarian take away. Nice people, good food.

REPUBLIQUE

• Maz Mez is a creative libanese restaurant with vegetarian dishes. Good food, nice people, excellent teas (mines ! ;-)). Ask for the chaï ice tea with sumac.

LE MARAIS

• L’Enoteca is a good italian restaurant, with an incredible variety of wines.

NOTRE-DAME

• Ostra is run by Joao, a friend of friends, with oysters and french specialties. Good quality and good people in a very touristic zone where good quality/price restaurants are not easy to find.

11EME ARRONDISSEMENT

• Erso : my 2nd top restaurant with Eels. Short menu, excellent dishes. I’ve been twice and I loved every dish.
• La Giclette is a nice wine bar with good wine and food and a nice typical atmosphere.
